On March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake devastated Myanmar's second-largest city, Mandalay. Whole apartment blocks crumbled like chalk, ancient temples in Bagan were shattered, stone stupas and golden pagodas turned to rubble. Monasteries collapsed. Monks buried. What's gone isn't just lives. It's centuries of memory, spirit, prayer. No one's coming to help. The official death count is low, but that's only because there's no one left to count. Locals are saying it could be tens of thousands.
Myanmar was already bleeding. In 2021, the military (led by dog bastard Min Aung Hlaing) overthrew the democratic government. It's been pure violence since: burned villages, mass arrests, airstrikes on children. The people didn't give up; they formed the National Unity Government (NUG) to hold the line with grit and jungle and hope.
In the ruins of the earthquake, while people are sobbing over the dead, Min Aung Hlaing continued bombing. That's why we're throwing a Milady charity donation drive: every donation helps survivors and supports the people who refused to bow. Courage is our favorite virtue.
The charity drive will officially begin at 5:00pm Eastern Time (UTC -4) on Sunday, April 6th. When the countdown reaches zero, the one-week donation period begins.
For one week, you can make donations through this website. Every donation counts towards both the donor prize and the raffle. Donations of 0.01 ETH or greater within the final 15 minutes of the donation drive extend the drive by 15 minutes.
When the donation drive ends, the donor who contributed the highest amount will automatically win the donor prize.
When the drive ends, a secure random raffle contract will automatically give the winner their grand prize. Your chances of winning are proportional to your total donation amount. The more you donate, the better your chances of winning!
